EveISR Intrep

Paste a list of character names and get an analysis of who they are, what they fly and how active they have been. A web app and a Discord bot on the EveISR kill lake.

At a glance

Status
In development. Not deployed.
Platform
ASP.NET Core web app and a Discord.Net bot, on .NET 10.
For
Small groups of trusted users, such as a corporation or alliance.
Data
Public character data from ESI, and killmails from EveISR Lake.
Access
Allowlist only. Planned for approved users, not open to the public.

What it does

Paste a list of character names, such as local chat, a fleet list or a spreadsheet column. The analysis starts as soon as you paste.

  • Names are cleaned up (any line-break style, blank lines, duplicates) and resolved to characters through ESI. Names that did not resolve, duplicates and over-long lines are counted and stated, never hidden. The web app takes up to 500 names per scan and the bot up to 300.
  • Each character gets kills, final blows and losses, 30, 90 and 365-day activity windows, activity by month, top ships and first and last seen, taken from EveISR Lake.
  • The list as a whole is grouped by corporation, alliance, ship and ship class.
  • The web app shows sortable tables and a per-character page with recent kills and losses.

The web app

  • Sign-in uses EVE single sign-on with the public-data scope only, so the app gets no access to character data. Only characters on an administrator-managed allowlist get in. Everyone else sees a refusal page and nothing more.
  • Administration lets named administrators add characters by name, id or killboard link (with the match shown for confirmation), group a person’s characters, disable or remove them, end sessions, and read an audit log.
  • The front end is plain static files with no build step and a strict content security policy.

The Discord bot

The bot runs the same analysis, using the same code as the web app, so the numbers cannot disagree. It replies in Discord with a summary and the full result as a CSV file.

  • Right-click a message and choose Analyse names, use /scan (with a pasted list or a text file), or use /pilot for one character with their last ten kills and losses. Channels an administrator marks can analyse pastes automatically.
  • Access fails closed. The bot answers nobody until a server is on its allowlist, registers commands per allowed server, leaves servers that are not allowed, can be limited to roles, and never serves direct messages.

The app is built to run at this address, for approved users only. It is not deployed yet, so the link will not work until it is. When it goes live this page will say so, and access will still require an invitation.

Status and limits

  • It runs locally and is under active development. Nothing is deployed.
  • The web app has been exercised against a stand-in for the EVE login and against the real kill lake. The Discord bot’s analysis, access rules and message rendering are covered by tests, but it has not yet been run against Discord itself.
  • Corporation and alliance tickers and capital or cyno flags are not shown yet.
  • It is meant for a small set of trusted users, not for the public.

Independence

Exigentec’s EVE tools are independent third-party software. They are not made, endorsed or supported by CCP Games (now Fenris Creations). EVE Online, the EVE logo and all related marks and assets belong to their owner and are used here for identification only. “EveISR” describes what the tool is for and implies no affiliation with the game’s publisher. Character data is read from ESI within its published usage rules.
